§ 3-7-1. Authority of mayor to accept interests in real estate on behalf of city.

Latest version.

Pursuant to section 15.2-1803, Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, any deed purporting to convey real estate, or an interest in real estate, to the City of Harrisonburg, shall be valid only when it is accepted on behalf of the city by the mayor or city manager. Acceptance shall appear on the face of such deed or on a separately recorded instrument.
